Nights are warmer north, better for the tomatoes. However, its still not as easy as gardening in Montreal! That's why I now have a "rectangle house", my simple hoop house. That was last year for myself in Calgary. 75% of the blossoms were killed by one or the other but we still managed to have 5 cherry pies by the end of the year. Not so bad I guess.
