I don't do too much to prepare my garden on a yearly basis, but I did make sure I had good soil when I first made my garden plot. I do rototill each spring and I have added peat moss on occasion. I don't hill my carrots though. What part of Alberta do you live in? The further north you go the more sunlight you get (thus the bigger vegetables you can grow...)

What do you do to prep your garden? Your carrots are huge! Mine look more like the first one, Parmex, but not as fat. I have clay in the garden since I do live in Alberta, but I dig at least 8-10 inches down and add soil and compost. Do you hill them?

Hello,

Thanks for your reply. I sort of suspected that I might have to order them, none of the the usual seed sources in Sask or Alberta seem to carry them, for some reason.

Thanks

The Sweetness III that I bought was from T & T Seeds out of Manitoba. I know William Dam Seeds in Ontario has Sweetness carrots as well. But I don't know of any local places to buy those seeds. You can order the seeds online - I'm not sure how long it will take to get to you though.

Hello,

I'm looking all over, trying to find Sweetness III carrot seed, to no avail. Do you have any idea where they could be purchased in Edmonton?

Thank you
